The Designer is responsible for the production of first class interfaces for websites, micro sites, and other digital projects. The position requires authentic and modern interface design skills; a solid grasp of the latest web standards; passionate about animation, strong working knowledge of Flash and Action script and a clear understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript fundamentals and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Assist during the interactive design process to create user interfaces that both adhere to best practices and provide a rewarding user experience
• Research, develop and create layouts for new sections and features.
• Help define the graphic identity, user interface, & interactive experience for all our Web sites.
• Design web page layout, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes for new & recurring web projects.
• Perform maintenance of graphics & content for web pages & web sites.
• Work with developers to implement designs into the final product and is able to perform intermediate level front end programming
• Contribute to the accurate definition of project scope, estimates and timelines
• Ensure motion graphics and interaction design communicate successfully for varying technical and performance specifications

Skills

• 2+ years experience in interactive design and programming
• Experience designing highly usable, effective interfaces for web sites and/or web-based applications.
• Is attuned to current trends in design, from corporate through funky and everything in between. Has a solid, modern design sense.
• Fanatical attention to detail down to the pixel.
• Basic comprehension of information design.
• Has a very keen eye on motion graphics
• Expert knowledge in Flash and Actionscript 2 and 3, experience with AS3 a plus
• Proficient in developing standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Basic knowledge of technologies relating to digital video and compression for the web
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Ability to multitask, juggle multiple projects at one time and meet tight deadlines.
